Qantas outlines A380 introduction plan

Qantas will launch Airbus A380 services on 20 October, with a flight between Melbourne and Los Angeles. From 24 October, the carrier's 450-seater will be used for one weekly service between Melbourne and Los Angeles and another weekly service between Sydney and Los Angeles.

Delivery of Qantas's first Rolls-Royce Trent 900-powered A380 is set for late this summer. A second is due in November, allowing Los Angeles services to be increased and London and Singapore to join the network from Sydney.
