Brazil's TAM to introduce first 767s through AWAS lease

Brazilian carrier TAM is to introduce its first Boeing 767-300ER aircraft after agreeing to lease a pair of the type from Irish-based lessor AWAS.

AWAS identifies the twin-jets as General Electric CF6-powered examples, formerly operated by Alitalia.

It states that TAM plans to use the aircraft on services between Rio de Janeiro and Miami as well as on regional routes within South America.
