China Southern Airlines is seeking to phase out its Boeing 777-200s.
The SkyTeam alliance carrier says on its website that it wants to sell its four 777-200As and is now accepting offers. The aircraft are used on domestic as well as regional international routes.
No reason is given, although China Southern has been adding Airbus A330-200/300s to its fleet which it uses for domestic and regional international services. It now has nine A330s and has 15 more on order, according to Flight’s ACAS database.

The airline’s four 777-200s are powered by General Electric GE90 engines and they were built in 1995 and 1996, according to ACAS. China Southern also operates six 777-200ERs, some of which are leased, which it mainly uses for services to the USA.
