FARNBOROUGH 2008: MB Faber wins £1m A400M tooling deal

MB Faber (Hall 1, D12), a subsidiary of MB Aerospace, has signed a contact with Airbus worth in excess of £1 million ($2m) to support the development of the A400M heavy military airlifter. The company will design and build operational tooling for building the wings.

Ian Eaves, general manager of MB Faber’s aerospace division says: “We will design the operational tooling for the structural assembly of the A400M wing box at our Leyland site in northwest England, and it will then be manufactured on our behalf by our sub-contractors in the UK and Western Europe, before being used in the construction of the wings.”
