Eurocopter Canada has delivered its 500th helicopter into the Canadian market with the sale of an AS355 NP to Phoenix Heli-Flight.
“Delivery of this particular helicopter is significant for our company,” says Marie-Agnes Veve, president and chief executive of Eurocopter Canada. “It confirms that we are a top provider of innovative, technologically advanced aircraft in Canada.”
The upgraded AS355 NP integrates a redesigned electric oil cooling system for the engine and main gearbox for greater ease of maintenance. The new version also features Arrius 1A1 engines, improving one engine inoperative power.
“This model of helicopter is attractive because of its superior performance and it is also maintenance friendly,” says Paul Spring, chief executive of Phoenix Heli-Flight.
