NBAA 2008: Doctor in the cabin

A new enhanced and lighter weight Tempus IC personal doctor for business jets is being launched at NBAA by RDT.

The UK-based company will be giving demonstrations of the product which allows even non-medically trained personnel to collect and transmit a sick passenger’s vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse and heart condition from any remote land, sea and air location to a ground-based medical response team.

It is specifically designed for use in limited space available in an aircraft cabin and can be used at the passenger’s seat. RDT’s air transport customers include Virgin, which has installed Tempus on board all of its long haul fleet of aircraft, and Emirates.
