V Australia has had to delay its launch by at least two months as the strike at Boeing's plants holds up delivery of its 777-300ERs. The new Australian long-haul carrier's parent Virgin Blue says that the planned 15 December service launch between Sydney and Los Angeles has been delayed until 28 February. "V Australia has three 777-300ERs in advanced stage of production at the plant," it says, adding that if the strike ends soon, then it "would move swiftly to bringing forward the start-up schedule".
