Emirates has marked the arrival of the Cunard liner Queen Elizabeth 2 in Dubai with a flypast of one of its Airbus A380 aircraft.
The ship arrived in Dubai yesterday ahead of its refurbishment as a hotel, to be moored at Palm Jumeirah.
Emirates says that its third A380 conducted the flypast as the QE2 cruised past the 'World' collection of artificial islands in preparation to dock.
A flotilla of over 130 smaller yachts and leisure craft accompanied the ship.

Cunard has formally handed ownership of the liner to Dubai development firm Nakheel, through a flag-changing ceremony.
