Arik Air has received its first of three new Airbus A340-500s that will be used on services from its Lagos base to London, Houston and New York.
The Nigerian carrier's three A340-500s were originally ordered by India's Kingfisher Airlines before the carrier scaled back its acquisition plans in September.
Arik's fleet includes Boeing 737s and Bombardier CRJ900s, but the airline has a variety of types on order including 777-300ERs, 787s, and Bombardier Q400s.
