CAE will provide maintenance training programmes "anywhere in the world" to employees of Canadian low-fare carrier Jazz under a licensing agreement signed by the two companies today.
As part of the agreement, CAE will offer classroom-based courses covering a variety of maintenance type-rating requirements for the Bombardier CRJ100/200, CRJ700/900 and Dash 8 100/300 families of aircraft.
CAE will also gain access to an expanded and experienced instructor pool, the companies say in a statement.
"Jazz is pleased to enter into a technical training partnership with CAE," said Scott Tapson, Jazz vice president of business development.
"This agreement is one of many growth initiatives we are pursuing to diversify Jazz's services and operations by leveraging our extensive expertise in airline operations."
