PICTURES: Boeing rolls out 787 in ANA livery

Boeing has painted its second test aircraft in the livery of All Nippon Airways (ANA), the 787 programme's launch customer.

This is aircraft number two and it "will be used for flight test purposes" and "won't delivered to ANA because our first aircraft is aircraft number seven", an ANA spokesman says from Tokyo.

He says the 787 rolled out of the paint hangar yesterday at Boeing's Everett factory.

ANA will be the first airline to operate the 787 and is due to receive its first in February 2010. It aims to have 20 in operation by the end of March 2012.

Boeing is due to have the first flight of the 787 in this year's second quarter.
