WAEA names interim executive director after Owen departs

Trade group the World Airline Entertainment Association (WAEA) has appointed J Bruce Wardle as interim executive director, replacing Richard Owen, who served as executive director since September 2007.

Wardle works as president and CEO of Washington DC-based Association Management Group (AMG), whose core purpose is "to deliver business solutions that assist clients in achieving their organizational goals", according to AMG.

A WAEA spokeswoman confirms Owen is no longer with the organization. She says he left at the end of May, but provides no further details.

The WAEA is a non-profit organization that serves as a worldwide network of in-flight entertainment and communications (IFE&C) professionals, and promotes the continual improvement of the in-flight passenger environment.
