On display at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station Webster Field annex on 10 August for AUVSI Unmanned Systems North America 2009, the first production-standard BAE Systems Herti was unveiled last year.

It has a maximum take-off weight of 1,650lb and carries a Cobalt electro-optical/infrared sensor from Sweden's FLIR Systems Polytech. Several Hertis were sent to Woomera test range in South Austalia earlier this year, where BAE says it has experimented "with the day/night turret". Past trials at Woomera have included an armed version of Herti called Fury that is equipped with Thales's new lightweight multirole missile.
