AUVSI: Crossbow offers attitude heading reference card

Crossbow Technology (booth 772) announced yesterday that its single-card AHC525 Attitude Heading Reference is now available for integration within UAV flight control systems.

The DO-178B Level A approved AHC525 Attitude Heading Reference Card - a first-of-its-kind high performance AHRS - was originally designed for FAA-certified avionics systems (EFIS and autopilot) in manned aircraft.

"The AHC525 card-level AHRS creates exciting new opportunities for UAV flight control system developers," says Crossbow's president, Mike Horton. "Level A software assures our customers the highest level of confidence in mission critical operations, and the small card-level configuration embedded inside the avionics system minimizes the weight, volume and cost associated with enclosures and interconnect cabling."

Horton says the AHC525 Attitude Heading Reference Card offers a flexible architecture that allows for customer-specific features and interfaces.
