Continental nears completion of LTV3 installs on 737-900ERs

Continental Airlines is moving quickly to equip its Boeing domestic fleet with LiveTV's latest live television system, revealing in an update that 88% of its Boeing 737-900ER fleet has been installed.

As of 6 August a total 22 737-900ERs have been equipped with the seat-back system. Dubbed LTV3, the system brings up to 80 channels of DirecTV to passengers for a fee.

The carrier's 737-700s, 737-800s, 737-900s and 757-300s will also be equipped with LTV3.

LiveTV is a subsidiary of US low-cost carrier JetBlue Airways, which has offered free live television to passengers since its inception.
