Pilots from India's Jet Airways could go on strike from 7 September, potentially disrupting the carrier's operations.
The National Aviator's Guild, a recently formed union of Jet Airways pilots, has notified the airline of the possible strike, says Jet Airways.
The union reportedly demands that Jet reinstate two pilots it allegedly fired when they joined the union. About 650 pilots could be involved in the strike, according to several Indian media reports.
"The notice has been taken up for conciliation by the Regional Labour Commission," says Jet.
Jet Airways operates 84 aircraft, comprising 10 Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft, 12 Airbus A330-200 aircraft, 48 Boeing 737s, and 14 ATR 72-500s.
