Australian regional carrier Regional Express (Rex) will resume services on the Melbourne-Griffith route from 9 October.
The carrier will operate six flights a week on the route using Saab 340 aircraft, says Rex.
The carrier originally launched the route in October 2007, but a pilot shortage forced it to suspend the route in February 2008.
"In the seven months between July 2007 and February 2008, Rex lost 90 pilots from its ranks," says Rex GM network strategy and sales Warrick Lodge. "Rex has now recruited 167 pilots since July 2007, and this puts in a position to re-launch the Griffith to Melbourne service."
