WAEA 2009: Rockwell Collins demos 3D interactive moving map
By

Rockwell Collins has demonstrated the first 3D interactive moving map application designed for in-flight entertainment systems.

Airshow Interactive 3D is designed for the latest IFE system and includes a selection of multiple 3D moving maps, points of interest, flight status pages and connecting gate information at the seat with a choice of language applications.

Rockwell Collins also says the application also included new Version 2 design of Airshow 4200 and 4200D.

"Airshow Interactive 3D sets a new benchmark for in-flight moving maps by offering the best of both worlds - stunning 3D map views with in-seat interactive capabilities - in one Airshow map application that can be hosted on an IFE system server," says Andrew Mohr, director, Cabin Systems Marketing for Rockwell Collins.
