Korea’s Samsung Techwin has taken delivery of its first of two AugustWestland AW139 helicopters.

Samsung will use the helicopter for “corporate transport missions,” says AugustaWestland.

The second helicopter is expected in 2010, and the two AW139s will replace ageing helicopters in the same category.

The order was also the first one in the commercial market in South Korea, says AugustaWestland.  It followed orders from the Korean Coast Guard and the Gangwon Fire Fighting Department.
