Jetaire Group today announced that it has clinched supplemental type certification for its auxiliary fuel tank and has exceeded the new US Special Federal Aviation Regulation 88 Airworthiness Directive guidelines - set to be enforced from 16 December - for these tanks.
Speaking at the show, Jetaire president Michael Williams said: "Typical solutions address either Phase I [of the guidelines], which requires significant reductions in ignition sources; Phase II, which mandates substantial reduction in flammability; or Phase III, which, as proposed, requires additional lightning protection. The Jetaire solution addresses all requirements in one, no-maintenance, seamless package."
