Satcom Direct has unveiled a series of enhancements communications-based products.
Speaking at the show today Jim Henson, Satcom Direct founder and owner, said the FlightDeck "bundled aviation communications service", has been expanded to support Honeywell Primus Epic-equipped aircraft including Cessna Citation Sovereign; Dassault Falcon 900DX, 900EX, 2000DX, 2000EX, 2000LX, and 7X; Gulfstream G350, G450, G500, and G550; and Hawker 4000, making the offering "compatible with most datalink avionics in use today on business aircraft".
Under the brand name FlightDeck Freedom, customers can now track aircraft globally and monitor aircraft satcom and datalink systems. "FDF gives our customers options, such as freedom of trip planner, compatibility with their entire fleet, and fixed datalink costs regardless of the network used. Henson also unveiled the SD Flight Tracker service - providing live aircraft position, global weather, flight history, and satellite network availability - and the Plane Simple Plus initiative, which provides vital information about a customer's aircraft, including usage statistics, diagnostic information, performance details, and configurations and alerts regarding any hardware or service issues detected during the previous month.
