PPG Aerospace (booth 1881) says it will deliver 12 shipsets of 15 windows each for the new King Air 350i before year's end. The electrochromic window shades, first ordered by Boeing for the 787, feature low-voltage operation, higher reliability and complete ultraviolet blocking without the use of traditional mechanical shades. PPG says it has completed all certification testing of the shades, with results accepted by Hawker Beechcraft.
