Interline agreements lead Jetstar to choose Sabre and Worldspan

Qantas Airways' low-cost carrier Jetstar has signed on with global distribution systems (GDS) Sabre and Worldspan.

Jetstar in Australia as well as Singapore's Jetstar Asia and Vietnam's Jetstar Pacific will be using Sabre and Worldspan, says Jetstar.

"The extension of Jetstar product available through Sabre and Worldspan marks an enhanced offering which will build on the airlines' growing interline selling proposition, now numbering 10" carriers. Jetstar's airline partners include Air New Zealand, Air Pacific, Qantas and Royal Jordanian Airlines.

Jetstar is also using the Abacus GDS for point-to-point sales of all Jetstar branded airlines, it says.

The airline plans to extend this agreement to allow for interline fares, it adds.
