Korean Air (KAL) Cargo has launched a freighter service from Seoul Incheon to Hanoi.

The twice-weekly Seoul Incheon-Singapore-Hanoi-Seoul Incheon route service began yesterday and uses a Boeing 747-400, says KAL.

KAL has offered belly-hold space on its passenger aircraft to Hanoi, but this is the first time it has had freighters to the Vietnamese capital, it says.

"This new freighter service by KAL Cargo to Hanoi will play a vital role ...in providing smooth movement of products ranging from electronics goods to textiles", it adds.
