Turkish Airlines is to purchase two Airbus A330-200 Freighters as part of its recent top-up order for A330 passenger aircraft.
The planned freighter deal was revealed by Rolls-Royce, which says in a statement that it has been selected to supply the Turkish Flag carrier's powerplants for five additional aircraft, including two freighters.
Airbus confirms that Turkish has increased its order for passenger aircraft from seven to 10 units as part of a deal announced during the Paris air show in June. It adds that the airline has a memorandum of understanding for two A330-200Fs, which when confirmed would make it the 10th customer for the new 64t payload all-cargo freighter.
