Air India's engine overhaul facility and UAE based MRO firm Aerostar Asset management have entered an engine repair and management alliance to serve middle east carriers.
The engine repairs will be carried out at Air India's Mumbai engine overhaul facilities, says India's flag carrier.
The alliance will provide repairs for the GE CF6-50 and 80 series, GE-90 series, and the CFM56-7 series. It will also cover the CFM56-5 series "in the near future."
Air India and Aerostar recently signed a marketing agreement for the alliance, which will be launched under the 'A Team' brand at the Dubai air show in middle November.
