AVIC Aircraft, the main business of state-owned China Aviation Industry (AVIC), plans to have a public listing.
The listing will take place by 2011, AVIC Aircraft general manager Hu Xiaofeng told state-run China Daily.
In the interim, AVIC Aircraft will take over the assets of Xian Aircraft International (XAI), the publicly-listed arm of its subsidiary Xian Aircraft. Trading in XAI's shares has been suspended since 2 November.
AVIC Aircraft makes military and commercial aircraft. It is also the largest supplier to Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, which makes ARJ21 and C919 commercial aircraft.
