Jet Airways plans new Mumbai-Kathmandu service

Jet Airways plans to start a daily service between Mumbai and Kathmandu from 2 December.

"There has been increasing demand for direct air connections between the Indian commercial hub of Mumbai and Kathmandu from both businesses and leisure travellers," says the airline's acting CEO Nikos Kardassis.

Jet Airways, which will use a Boeing 737 aircraft for the new service, will compete against Nepal Airlines on the route,

The carrier also plans to increase services on the Delhi-Kathmandu route to 14 weekly from 13 weekly, and on the Mumbai-Kolkata route to five daily from four daily.
