Embraer might produce the E-190 in China to take advantage of the country's economic recovery, says a report in Brazilian newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo.
The Brazilian airframer is in talks with its partner AVIC in China, says the report, which did not say how it got the information.
Embraer has a joint venture with AVIC that produces the ERJ-145 jet Harbin. The report says this will stop. The plant has 12 ERJ-145s on order, to be delivered to Hainan Airlines.
The airframer's headquarters declined to comment on the report.
