Philippine carrier Cebu Pacific has started twice weekly flights between Tuguegarao and Guangzhou.
The airline will operate an Airbus A319 on the service, says a Cebu Pacific spokeswoman.
Tuguegarao is a city in the Philippine province of Cagayan.
The new service is the airport's first international flight, she adds.
