Eurofighter Typhoon advances toward multi-role capability

The Eurofighter Typhoon’s evolution into a multi-role strike aircraft continues using development and instrumented production aircraft (IPA) in Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK. EADS’s IPA3 carries four Raytheon Paveway II 450kg (1,000lb) laser-guided bombs, four Raytheon AIM-120 AMRAAMs, two BGT IRIS-Ts and three external fuel tanks.
