Pictures: First Westernised Tupolev Tu-204 freighters for China prepared for delivery by Aviastar
The first of five Westernised Tupolev Tu-204-120CE freighters for Chinese carriers is being prepared for delivery at the Aviastar plant in Ulyanovsk (pictured below).

The twinjet, which made its first flight in May, is powered by Rolls-Royce RB211-535 engines and equipped with an English-language cockpit incorporating Honeywell avionics (pictured below).

The first hand-over is set for September, shortly after certification and customer acceptance trials have been completed. Delivery of the second aircrfat is scheduled for December and deliveries to Air China Cargo and China Eastern Airlines are due to be completed by mid-2007.
