US lessor International Lease Finance is expecting to take delivery of its first Boeing 787 in November 2011, some 22 months behind the original date.

ILFC has 74 of the type on order and is Boeing's single-largest customer for the type. It had originally been expecting to receive its first 787 in January 2010, with deliveries running to 2017.

But in a recently-issued financial statement, ILFC says it expects an average delay of 27 months per aircraft and its first will not arrive until November 2011.

"We are unable to assess whether these delays will have any significant impact on our operations for any future period," says the lessor.

Earlier this year ILFC chief Steven Udver-Hazy said he planned to retain all firm orders for the type.

ILFC is lined up to lease 787 aircraft to several customers including Royal Jordanian Airlines, LAN Airlines and Air Berlin.
