Canadian maintenance, repair and overhaul operator StandardAero named Scott Shiells as its airframe programme director for the business aviation sector days after replacing its top executives with managers from parent Dubai Aerospace Enterprise.
Recently, former chief executive Paul Soubry was replaced by Rob Mionis of DAE Engineering. The company's chief financial officer and senior vice-presidents for operations and sales have also been replaced. The new team is operating from the DAE Engineering/StandardAero offices in Tempe, Arizona.
Shiells assumes responsibility for establishing and executing plans to maximise growth in the airframe business and creating new growth programmes.
He was most recently project manager on maintenance and modification projects at Duncan Aviation, and before that post he was director of maintenance for Steen Aviation.
