The forward section of an A300 has been delivered to Paris city centre where it will form part of an Airbus exhibit to celebrate the centenary of France’s aeronautical industry.
The exhibition is taking place between 4 and 12 October 2008 on the Champs-Elysées and the Place de la Concorde.
As well as the A300 forward fuselage, the Airbus exhibit includes an A320 wing, an A340 fin and the nose cone and engine air intake from an A380.
Airbus says that the parts have all come from operational aircraft - either test aircraft or airframes that have been withdrawn from service.
Airbus and its parent EADS also have a large exhibition stand and amphitheatre showing videos of research and development and environmental innovations.
