Emirates begins operating from Dubai's new Terminal 3

Dubai-based Emirates has started operating services from the hub's new Terminal 3 today, its first departure leaving for the Qatari capital Doha.

The first service is one of six scheduled to leave the terminal today while seven flights are due to arrive, the first being from Jeddah.

Emirates operations will be transferred to Terminal 3 in phases, beginning with flights to Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Kuwait as well as New York, Houston, Toronto and Sao Paulo.

Flights will be moved across to the Emirates-dedicated building in four phases.
