European fractional ownership start-up Jet Republic has signed up at Paris for Bombardier Aerospace's carbon offset programme. Jet Republic, which has orders and options for 110 Bombardier Learjet 60XRs - will offset the CO2 emissions of its aircraft as they enter service from October.
"We take our social responsibility very seriously and looked at a variety of programmes to offset the emissions of our aircraft. Bombardier's is the most robust programme of its kind on the market and provides the added benefit of being endorsed by the company that manufactured our aircraft," says Jonathan Breeze, chief executive of Jet Republic.
