To his blog The DEW Line, Seoul air show attendee Stephen Trimble filed a piece on North Korea's "shockingly weak and increasingly desperate" air force, in which he noted reports that commander Ri Pyong-chol - in civilian garb, rather than uniform - accompanied Kim Jong-Il to a summit with Russian prime minister Dmitry Medvedev, and that Jong-Il visited a Novosibirsk factory where Sukhoi manufactures the Su-34.
"South Korea's military has clearly taken notice," wrote Trimble, citing an Agency for Defense Development chart listing Pyongyang's possible F-X fighter programme.
Trimble also posted his photo of the South Korean KF-16's demonstration cockpit.
In his latest Movie Monday, FlightBlogger highlighted National Geographic's documentary on Scaled Composites' WhiteKnightTwo and SpaceShipTwo.
