The QE2 arrived at port ahead of its farewell voyage, Southampton, UK yesterday.
As the clock struck 11am, a million poppies were dropped from a Tiger Moth aircraft over the vessel.
The ship is currently sailing to its new home in Dubai where it is to be a floating hotel.

Where is the Tiger Moth? Not a biplane to be seen anywhere.....
From what I saw on the "box", a DHC Beaver was used for the drop.....
Hi Stephen
Rex features, the agency that supplied the photo the aircraft was a Tiger Moth and other news sources said it was too.
At close inspection it looks like you're right, no biplane in sight.
Anyone else have an idea?
Barbara
Aircraft used were a Beaver and an Auster
