This is suggested to be a cut down version of lessons learnt from the souix city disaster. In fact there was no danger to the passengers or aircraft.Design floors are a consideration but the high quality control at Roll Royce makes this extremely rare.

Speculation is centering around maintence activity of this particular engine including ground damage.

“No danger to the passengers or aircraft”? So you know exactly what structures were missed by the debris that punctured the wing? How close was it to fuel lines or tanks? How close was it to hydraulic or other critical control lines?

An uncontained engine failure is a danger to the aircraft and passengers.
