The Red Arrows brightened up a typically grey London sky yesterday to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

The flypast by the Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and the Red Arrows signified the end of a weekend of celebration, with over 1,000 members of the Armed Forces involved in ceremonial roles.

The formation flew down the Mall and included a Dakota flanked by two King Air aircraft, a Lancaster, Spitfires and a Hurricane from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, ahead of the Red Arrows who made their entrance seconds later.
