RyanairBook.jpgRyanair – the full story of the controversial low-cost airline dishes the dirt on the airline that charges wheelchair users to rent a chair, opposes carbon trading for airlines and features everyone from the Pope to Saddam Hussein in its advertising.

Now in its seventh printing, the book has been a number-one bestseller in Ireland – testimony to the interest for this maverick airline.

“Siobhán Creaton’s pacy and engaging book takes an informed look at the phenomenon that is Ryanair. Her account of the rise and rise of Ryanair and Michael O’Leary keeps you turning the pages – no mean feat when everybody already has a story of their own to tell!”, gushes the Irish Times.

The book is on sale for £7.99 (and, as they say, no wheelchair tax!), but courtesy of Aurum Press, we have three copies of the book to give away. Simply e-mail us your Ryanair story, along with your name and address. Prizes to the best replies. The judges’ decision is final.

"The airline that people love to hate!"
I took a ferry, train, and a bus just to get to the airport to catch a Ryanair flight; my travel time to the airport was longer than the actual flight. Once there I was charged twice as much as the actual ticket for my overweight baggage, and the total travel cost was the same as taking the flag carrier from the nearest airport...and I would fly Ryanair again. The efficiency and you-get-what-you-pay-for attitude have industry-changing repercussions, and not only in the airline industry. I need to add this book to my bookshelf so that I can learn the secrets of the airline that people love to hate!
