Ryanair's trademark "in your face" advertising has often been brash, controversial and rule-bending.
For some, seeing adverts that say that airports like Beauvais, Hahn and Skavsta are in Paris, Frankfurt and Stockholm respectively is stretching the point just a tad far.
But Ryanair appears to have outbent even itself with this advert snapped by Adrian Wynne-Morgan at Farranfore Airport in County Kerry, Ireland this summer.
"Frankfurt appears to have been ceded to France! ..and low-budget now encompasses maps," said Adrian.
But who will get most upset? Those merry fellows at Hahn who now reside just north of the Massif Central in France, or those Frenchman who now have an influx of visitors from deepest Kerry?
Come to think of it, many small towns in France already have Ryanair do just this so perhaps this is simply the airline's way of adding its 22nd destination in the country.

Well its a question of marketing.
Hahn is about 100Km from Frankfurt.
But...
where you you think the airports of Shanghai (78KM from centre), Seoul (60KM) or Bangkok (56KM) are ?
New airports = more distance ?
Not necessesarily as Dubais new airport shows.
And please keep in mind that Hahn is not expected to be known by anyone. So is Cologne, even a city of 1 mio. inhabitants. The city should name the airport like "Cologne - West German Central", so people abroad get a slight idea, where exactly it may be located. Otherwise longhaul traffic wont come there anytime.
