I pick all the air hostesses: Kingfisher’s Mallya

Kingfisher’s chairman VJ Mallya is following in the footsteps of Virgin’s Richard Branson and Niki Lauda of Lauda Air in taking a personal interest in choosing the cabin crew that walk the aisles of his airliners.

Find out what this great Indian looks for in this good piece in the Telegraph today.

We talked recently to VJ at Farnborough and got him on video.

Here’s the cover interview our Singapore Editor Nicholas Ionides did with VJ and the latest on Kingfisher’s international route plans.

According to KINGFISHER AIRLINE CAHIRMAN MR .V.J. MALLYA,
picking up himself his AIR HOSTESSES,I personally think he is right in doing so,as it is his own carrier, but by saying that his Air Hostesses are much pretier than B.A. is wrong because BEAUTY does not count
where compertition is concerned but IN-FLIGHT SERVICES is more important than BEAUTY.Customers are more concerned how they are assisted and treated in an AIRCRAFT and most of them do not FOCUS on BEAUTY, as the CUSTOMER is a paying MASTER and would like to get what he has paid that is SERVICES and FOOD served in an AIRCRAFT rather than BEAUTY.Mr.Mallya should not forget when there is tough compertition in the AIRLINE INDUSTRY,he should also
focus on CUSTOMER-SERVICES,STABLE-DEVELOPMENT and SECURITY rather than BEAUTY.

I am sure you are right in saying that beauty in itself does not count Prosper, but I suspect that for some it HELPS in no small measure

If I had my own money in an airline, I will pick the hostesses.

And I would make sure that each one of them says to the other that she is prettier.

Why do you care what the gyu is doing with his money?

For all the talk about India being a “spiritual” place where all hippies go to find nirvana, I can tell you that most Indians (and I am one) are shallow to the core. This article vividly displays that facet.

Mr. Mallya is about twenty years behind the thinking curve.

Well guys tell me now..how many of you look into the eye balls of the hostes on the first attempt and how many dont turn ur eyes when she is walking???

First impression is the best impression…the way you look has some importance…n the way u talk yes the rest….

If pierce brosnon comes to you,you would be delighted and you would give your hand to let him know that you are very happy to meet and if he intern says badwords to you, you feel bad about it…

    Gist….

Beauty as well does matter when it is needed…would any body watch a movie with grandma as a heroin?? no…every body wants mallika…well…guys..easy…

And you are very confident of your own selection of shirt that its the only shirt ever which looks fantastic so far….Your job, bike,…what not…He is just another guy…

    Mr. Malya, Good luck man…

If I had as much money tied up in an airline, I’d be putting my efforts into selecting the best management and team of staff that money could buy!!
