Max was on the flight - as is obvious from the video - and wrote this story on Flightglobal.

Just to clarify the article, this WAS NOT A BIOFUELS FLIGHT!
The fuel tested was GTL (gas to liquids). This is a fuel produced from Natural Gas. The carbon emissions of this process are very comparable (if not higher) to standard aviation fuel.
However GTL makes sense for Qatar Airways due to the abundance of natural gas in Qatar and Royal Dutch Shell buidling a GTL plant there.
