Kulula's anatomy of an aircraft

Just stumbled across this colourful and entertaining rebranding job on one of South African budget carrier Kulula's aircraft - the Flying 101 design giving an idiot's guide to all the elements on an aircraft.  I can't see any sign of any more details from the airline yet, but the blog sites linked to below have more pictures and details.

Curiously there's a Flightglobal blog entry showing the aircraft going in for painting.

Just a quick footnote to this - Kulula pretty pleased with the response (and publicity for the carrier no doubt!!) to the livery, especially among the blogger and enthusiasts community - this from Kulula marketing manager Nadine Damen.

“We’ve been amazed by the number of blogs that have posted “Flying 101” images as well as the large number of people talking about the new branding on Twitter," she says.

The aircraft enters service on 13 February and is the first of eight new 737-800s it is taking, each with its own individual livery. So what have they got in store for aircraft number two?

"The second Boeing is currently undergoing its transformation and will appear to kulula fans much like an oversized container box, with the words 'this way up' printed on its side," says the airline.
