I received some pictures last night from Bob Stangarone, who handles PR for Cessna.
The pictures shows some of the Cessna Skycatcher aircraft that have arrived in the USA from China's Shenyang Aircraft (SAC), which has a contract to manufacture the aircraft. SAC is aiming to deliver 350 Skycatchers this year.

Sir,
If you get a chance ask Bob how he feels when he looks at a Cessna just imported from China (especially with that countries product safety and human rights record) given that Cessna has hundreds if not thousands of American workers that are presently out of a job. Ask hiom how he feels knowing that those familes are suffering home foreclosures and the loss of everything they spent a lifetime trying to create so that Cessna can make a few extra bucks on this airplane.
The Skycather program is a disgrace and both Cessna and its customers should be ashamed to be a part of it.

Oh! That's a cute one! I wonder how far can it travel with a full tank...

Why is this aircraft not being built in the USA?
Pretty soon every US company will have gone "to China" to achieve "cost savings" (i.e. laying off US workers) - but guess what geniuses ... YOU JUST SACKED YOUR CUSTOMER!
I don't imagine many engineers will be signing up to buy a new 162 as they join the dole queue ...
