Flight International's fabulous festive issue out now

Flight International readers have a treat this week as we let our hair down slightly for our festive double issue. Apart from our regular Uncle Roger's Quiz, the winning entry in our annual photography competition - a Boeing 747 lifting off at London Gatwick - graces our front cover.

There is a feature on the 75-year-old Douglas DC-3, enjoying a new lease of life as the Basler Turbo BT-67, with a reprint of our original DC-3 cutaway, plus a look at what it is like to operate aviation in both the Arctic and the Antarctic. We celebrate the quarter century of the GE CF6-80C2 and find out what the business aviation industry is doing to aid Haiti.

We celebrate the Sea Harrier and look at two efforts to recreate the naval fighter. And for fans of our cutaways there is an all-new drawing of the Bell AH-1Z, along with a programme update.
