Flight International's festive issue

Flight International's final issue of the year (18 December) is not one you will want to miss. Our cover image is the stunning winner of our annual photo competition, a Dutch F-16 captured at the Waddington air show by Keith Campbell - one of more than 17,000 shots he took at the event to get the perfect picture. Inside there are eight pages of runners-up. But if you really want to see the entries at their very best, you need to view them on our tablet edition - downloadable as a single issue on the iPad, or, of course, available via subscription at

The issue also contains Uncle Roger's Quiz, a festive fixture of Flight International for decades. In it you can pit your wits against the magazine's legendary know-all Roger Bacon to find out how much of a Total Aviation Person you really are. Enjoy with a sherry and mince pies.

And we review the momentous year that was 2012, with highlights, lowlights, near misses and fond farewells.
