The Paris Air Show is best experienced in person, but four hours of live video coverage from Le Bourget each day brought the rumbles of the Sukhoi Su-35 to aviation fans around the world. Michael Targett and Graham Dunn rose to the occasion to narrate the infrared footage of the flying display and invited special guests to the chalet for some out-of-this-world exclusive interviews, including the illustrious Buzz Aldrin. MRO journalist Michael Gubisch showered us with information from the rainy runway in a video depicting Honeywell’s and Safran’s electric green taxiing system, which brought some movement to an otherwise static display as it was demonstrated to the public for the first time. Speaking of firsts, colourful Ryanair executive Michael O’Leary made his air show debut to ink a huge Boeing 737-800 deal for 175 aircraft, and took some time to chat with Flightglobal publisher Mark Pilling about the new order.
